Todays Octoberween is a two parter, I am
splitting it between Zombpocolypse Wednesday and Fire it up Devils
night, pin up of the day is the intense, powerful and sexy Milla Jovovich!
I say this all the time n youtu.be/ZcpcJT48AVk
The
following list of zombie movies are probably in not much of an ordr,
because I start off with the best of intentions and always remember one
or two as I go along totally fucking up the order. However I will try
and keep them all relatively short and sweet.
My 10 rules for surviving the Zombie Apooclypse are the following
1: Stay out of the cities
2:
Know your can of beans math. Ex if Jenny has 1 can of beans and Mike
has 2 cans of beans and Joe has a hatchet how many cans of beans does
Joe have? Answer Joe has 3 cans of beans.
3: Prepare
Prepare Prepare. Have a bug out bag ready and waiting, these can be
substituted with your readiness shit you already should have in the back
of your car. A tarp, extra fuel, a flash light, a med kit, a blanket,
wet wipes, antiseptic, antibiotics, antihistamine, a few bottles of
water, some canned food, only additions are a knife, some form of fire
making device (why don't you carry a knife and fire on you anyway? ) and
preferably a bottle of alcohol and a pack of cigarettes for trading
disinfectant or stress relief.
4: KNOW YOUR EXITS! This
goes for wherever you are, not just at home but at work also, try and
figure this out where ever you go because the Zombie Apocolypse can hit
anywhere or any time, do you know where the exits are in your local
starschmucks? I thought not.
5: Learn how to shoot a gun
and handle an axe, you would be amazed at how many idiots don't know
how to weild a simple fire axe. Be careful don't do the zombies job for
them!
6: See how quickly you can get to, check out the
safety off and get in your car with all doors shut, windows up and yes
Safety belt on! Don't drive like a maniac unless you have to clear a
path, driving while freaking out will only make you get into a wreck
sooner.
7. DO NOT GO TO THE FOLLOWING PLACES UNLESS YOU
HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE: The Hospital, Schools, Malls, Supermarkets or
large department stores, and police barracks
8: When you
do run out of gas always go into the back room of the gas station, most
pumps are electric now and will not pump gas unless they are on, all
gas stations come with a generator which is usually located at the back
and considering gas stations and convenience stores are usually
employing young kids or stoners the codes to everything are usually
written down right next to the switches.
9: Protein
will keep you feeling fuller longer. Look eventually prepackaged and
fresh food is going to run out and if you don't know how to hunt, track,
fish or forrage you're probably fucked. However if you stock up on food
containing protein you will have enough fuel to keep going and you will
be less hungry as protein releases the same triggers in your stomach
and brain telling you you are full, so don't knock that canned spam
until you've tried it.
10: DO NOT MELEE A ZOMBIE EVER!
Run the fuck away, always kill at range and don't try running over more
than perhaps two or three at a time its more likely they will fuck up
your car.
2007
Planet Terror Starring Rose McGowen with a Machine Gun Leg After an
experimental bio-weapon is released, turning thousands into zombie-like
creatures, it's up to a rag-tag group of survivors to stop the infected
and those behind its release. youtu.be/VP81mNyrQfY
1985
Retun of the Living Dead is the original zombie comedy and every time
our readers vote it onto the list I feel redeemed. I thought for the
longest time I was the only one who loved Return of the Living Dead
which is a hilarious comedy that tells the story of a couple of
dimwitted warehouse workers who inadvertently bring about a zombie
apocalypse.
The moment my early teenage hormones will never forget? Linnea Quigley's cemetery strip tease. youtu.be/-QOSQPU9Adk
1992
Dead Alive by Peter Jackson! Thats right Hobbit guy made a Zombie movie
before he got big. It's about a young man's mother is bitten by a
Sumatran rat-monkey. She gets sick and dies, at which time she comes
back to life, killing and eating dogs, nurses, friends, and neighbors. youtu.be/lIsLSj-z4UM
1988
Serpent and the Rainbow Directed by Wes Craven, starring Bill Pullman
and yes based mostly on true events. An anthropologist goes to Haiti
after hearing rumors about a drug used by black magic practitioners to
turn people into zombies. Warning You will never sit right again! youtu.be/EPWTvbTWhZc
All
of the resident evil movies. I seriously like all of them, they are all
cheap action packed bloody gore fun starring Leeloo Dallas AKA Milla
Jovovich our Pin up of the day. However I have been told the best one of
the lot is the first one set in the hive. I prefer extinction myself
though. youtu.be/jiS6gtClrqk

Rec This spanish language horror film is from a pair of talented
spanish filmmakers and is the story of a zombie apocalypse that plays
out as a news reporter is shooting a documentary on the local emergency
services team, and the emergency is ground zero of a zombie infection. youtu.be/YGJ_jPKOj1c
White
Zombie 1932 Is a very different film than many on the list, "White
Zombie" is the grandfather of the American zombie film, whose influence
is felt everywhere from movies to music (as the band with the same name
can attest). The movie is highlighted by Bela Lugosi at his creepy best,
surprisingly scary looking zombies, and an important lesson for all
zombie movies to come: You can't kill - or even slow down - a zombie by
shooting it in the chest. Why? Because Zombies are dead! They cant feel
pain thus they don't have that automatic stopping mechanism that saves
normal humans from say trying to lift something to heavy, zombies will
lift until their arms pop off. youtu.be/5N5-UzUxBss

The
Dawn of the dead remake from 2004 Some will argue that Dawn of the Dead
is a horrible movie simply because it's a remake of one of the greatest
horror films of all time but I disagree. Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead
paid homage to George Romero's but was very much its own flesh-eating
affair.
A great script and an incredibly talented
cast headlined by Sarah Polley are why this movie worked so well. Add to
it a bad ass sound track from Johnny Cash and incredible special
effects you really can't find much to complain about. For me its mostly
about the soundtrack though.
Richard Cheese - Down with the sickness youtu.be/at02Fvdhk2I
Johnny Cash - When the man comes around youtu.be/k9IfHDi-2EA
Something about Johnny Cash always makes me think of my Big Grammy, I think its the tremelo to his voice.
1943
I walked with the Zombie A young Canadian nurse, Betsy Connell, arrives
in St. Sebastian in the West Indies to care for Jessica Holland, wife
of wealthy sugar plantation owner Paul Holland. For Betsy, she seems to
be living in paradise, despite Paul's dim view of his surroundings. His
half-brother Wesley Rand is much cheerier. When Betsy finally meets
Jessica, she finds her walking in the garden late at night as though she
were in a trance. Dr. Maxwell explains that Jessica had a severe
tropical fever that burned out portions of her spine, leaving her in a
zombie-like state. Maxwell and Betsy recommend insulin shock treatment.
Betsy also begins to wonder if voodoo might be able to cure her. youtu.be/hT_JnFXC6UA
1974
Let sleeping corpses Lie A straight-up zombie film for the zombie film
lover. "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" has fantastic and realistic zombies of
the "freshly dead" variety. It also features some graphic and long
sequences of them chowing down on human flesh like they're at an
all-you-can-eat buffet. youtu.be/-x54TlYs94s
1985
Day of the dead Romero tweaked the nose of the military-industrial
complex with Day in which underground bunker-dwelling scientists and
soldiers uneasily coexist. The director's third zombie film boasts a
host of memorable performances, none more so that of Sherman Howard who
plays the unnervingly intelligent (and, by the end, gun-toting) zombie
''Bub.'' youtu.be/GTpbJCVNHro
Dance
of the dead 2008 is actually better than it sounds, which is saying a
lot. On the night of the big High-School Prom, the dead rise to eat the
living, and the only people who can stop them are the losers who
couldn't get dates to the dance. youtu.be/kmdUJJSQzhI
2009
Zombieland! I love this movie, and it actually teaches its viewers a
lot about possibilities and living conditions of a post apocalyptic
world, it also stars Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray so YAY ^^ If you
haven't seen it its about a shy student trying to reach his family in
Ohio, and a gun-toting tough guy trying to find the Last Twinkie and a
pair of sisters trying to get to an amusement park join forces to travel
across a zombie-filled America. You will never look at a public toilet
the same way again trust me! "God bless rednecks!" youtu.be/Xs8ayvLzqxY
"They're
coming to get you Barbara..." I am pretty sure you knew that George A.
Romero's 60′s classic was going to be on this list. In fact had Night of
the Living Dead not been included I am quite confident we would have
seen outrage among zombie film fans.George Romero's Night of the Living
Dead has made just about every list we have made relating to top horror
films and is incredibly deserving. Honestly though its not my favorite,
so youtu.be/UYR3dorshwA
Shaun
of the Dead, if I said a British ''rom-zom-com'' with a pun for a
title, you'de probably turn up your nose at it. However Shaun of the
Dead is AWESOME! The first real movie from Hot Fuzz director Edgar
Wright works as both an affectionate, in-joke-filled
homage to the genre and a terrific zombie film in its own right. Simon
Pegg stars as a lovelorn slacker who believes the best place to wait out
the undead apocalypse is his local pub. You've got red on you, I ran it
under a cold tap and Queen's Dont stop me now are all wonderful scenes.
It's pretty much one meme after another here and why it made my number
#2 seat. youtu.be/nrluARJUCUg
My
favorite Zombie movie is still and probably will always be "28 Days
Later" from 2002 Directed by Danny Boyle. The sequel to this film 28
weeks later is cheap american action trash and the only good part is the
first 20 mins of the whole damned film even
if it does have Begbie in it. However 28 days I believe takes Romero's
stance on a social exposition about not only mans inhumanity to man, our
unquestioning corporate identity of the modern human, as well as our
increased sensitivity to violence and amplified rage to create what I
feel is the epitome of Zombie Survival genre. From the moment our hero
Jim wakes up we are immersed into a world of desperation, fear, chaos
and scientifically explainable violence, with odd moments of tranquility
that lets you become disarmed enough for the next wave of horror. This
movie is brilliant, from the realistic dialogue, wonderful understated
acting, as well as the message and one of the first uses of free running
in film I can not recommend this enough. Think Lord of the Flies meets
Night of the Living Dead set in the beautiful English countryside. youtu.be/JbcuK8WBKE8
