Not Karl Marx

We had to do three still lives this week for basically drawing realistically class using block method. I can never just leave well enough alone so there's some shading but not much more detail than that. We also had to do some anatomy study by parts, eyes and mouths here, frankly I think the mouth style is just old fashioned and weird but the eye study was useful! I keep getting the feeling my art teacher isn't teaching just making us do 500 year old drawing exercises from these old Victorian era books so he can show off his art history knowledge in a class in which its only use is to make him feel smart and superior... we aren't getting along yet if you hadn't noticed. Anyway the portrait isn't Karl Marx.
